My own personal server for Halo 2

Hello friends! So I recently got back into h2v and was sad to see they shutdown live on it! So I went ahead and found your site and downloaded the patch to get back online! So far it works great but I would like to try and host my own server with the halo 2 dedicated server application that comes with the game so far I set up a PC and installed everything but when I go to the lobby I can't find my own server. What should I do? Do I need to port forward?

The link that ScorpNZ posted the reason why public dedicated servers are not up yet.

Once Public dedicated server support is dropped, The Dedicated server admins (KittyKat or BigTwEEKx) may make a guide on how to create a dedicated server.

OK thanks for the response! Jw at what time did MS officially shut down all services for h2v?

They have officially ceased all live operations now right?

Feb 2013 was the supposed shutdown date, but Microsoft decided not to due to community efforts. However they've silently killed the game late 2015. (Server PC apparently went down and hasn't been brought back up ever since)
