Hello. I'm trying to play halo 2 PC with 8 friends all connected to one router. We do not wish to play online, is there a way to disable Project Cartographer and then enable it when we want to play online? We're in the military, deployed to a shitty location and internet connectivity is not good. We need to be able to play over network. Please help! Thanks to anyone who can help us out.

You will need to install Games For Windows Live (GFWL) and create an offline account (hidden as a hyperlink in some of the wordy terms and conditions somewhere in the menus).
Otherwise I am working on just that, LAN play. I've just got LAN partially working yesterday. I hope to have it working fully and automatically within the next few weeks. I'll try to remember to post my results here if your interested.

EDIT: and when you install GFWL you will need to remove xlive.dll out of your Halo 2 install folder as that is the cartographer mod that overwrites GFWL.
