Welcome to my new thread. I will be talking about my attempts to recreate the assets you can find in shared.map, single_player_shared.map, and mainmenu.map Most of these assets are very WIP and need a lot of tweaking and advancements in other coding related areas. The goals of this initiative is to hopefully be able to use these assets in future maps for the purpose of overriding shared.map or compiling new versions of these resource maps. Keep in mind that these tags are supposed to complement the tags folder that comes with the map editor. If you changed or are missing vanilla tags then you will be some missing/inaccurate things.

At the moment you will need to remove these assets so that tool doesn't crash during packaging but they will be fixed in the future. Some of these assets also crash Sapien and have been removed from the scenario file for the time being until they can be properly repaired.

A lot of things need to be changed to better reflect the vanilla assets.Like with shared, certain assets will cause tool to crash while packaging or if spawned in Sapien. All sound related files are missing and must be recreated.

Not a 1:1 replacement atm except for the placement of things but it will do for the moment. Should have just about everything. Only thing that seems to be missing is some scripts that actually control the mainmenu and the Longsword physics and collision needs to be remade. Also needs H2Codez to have it's shared removal code fixed for any real testing to begin.

Looks fascinating ,hope someday we are able to fully create those custom bipeds and animation graphs ;)
Gotta look into sounds not Working i guess

I'm actually not sure about the animation graphs anymore. I'll have to run more tests but I think it might be the render models that are coming out fucked and break the animation. Could be both, idk.

Patch for the mainmenu tags. This will add two additional files that are the scripts.

Overwrite the default mainmenu and shared.map that come with the map editor with this. These maps have been hex editing to remove references to certain UI tags allowing their addition.

As you can see this still has a lot of issues that need to be fixed. The map is very prone to crashing and has a ton of graphical issues.

A compiled custom mainmenu that you saw in the video if you are curious. Just keep launching your game until it works fine. I will try my best to solve the crashing soon.
