Unable to join game.

So i recently downloaded the game and made a account. Im updated on everything but when i try to go to network and join a game it says unable to join party and im not sure what to do in this regard. Any help would be appreciated

can you not join any game? have you tried changing your base port?
this can be done by going to
%localappdata%\microsoft\halo 2\
and opening halo2config1.ini with WordPad
scroll down, go to base_port = 1000 and change it to 3000 or something higher

Its still giving me the same issue, it says you cant join the party, wait a moment and try again later. and ive done what you suggested

and it is loading the servers and showing the players but it isnt listing the ping on the servers either

not being able to join ANY game is not normal but i can't figure out why

Think it is a block by our internet provider.

Im just trying to join the regular servers that pop up for the first time, the ones that are in pre lobby and say open.

Rule? How?

Type "Firewall" in the start menu (if you're on windows 10 it should auto correct to either "Windows Firewall or Windows Firewall with Advanced Security"

Can't join an online game since last Sunday. I tried to change the base_port but nothing... What do you recommend?
