Isn't the mod tool Mr. Mowhawk capable of extracting tags and then injecting them back into another mission? I tried moving tags between missions with the tool but it just crashes. I'm not too experienced with modding so I don't know if maybe I just did something wrong and it crashed. That tool...

Thanks! I did it with Halo 1 and 3 as well if you want to check those out too. Fortunately those games didn't require any modding to remove the soundtrack haha. I only wish I could say the same about Halo Reach, 4 and 5 :(

I actually just figured it out yesterday. in addition to unchecking all the flags for music under script references in the scnr tag, you also have to null out all music references under lsnd tag as well. Here's the result of my little no music project btw...
