The textures aren't going to be forced, you can either choose to have the high res textures or not

For some odd reason i can't sign in/create a account for Cartographer. It either says my registration is invalid if i try to sign up or says it will send me a e-mail for my account info only for it to not send anything.

Username taken, email taken or password is too long.

And there is no confirmation email, once you sign up with a valid username and password you can put that information into the launcher and start playing.
