Hi,
I am wondering if there is a way to edit the player and vehicle FOV by hex editing the halo2.exe. I understand that one can permanently modify FOV by hex editing single player maps, but doing so on multiplayer maps may ban said player for ''cheating''.
However, there must be an alternative way as the installer for Halo 2.5 has an option to restore the player FOV to the xbox equivalent, this option also works in multiplayer without said ban. I understand that Halo 2 has separate FOV fields for player and vehicle and unfortunately the Halo 2.5 installer does not widen vehicle FOV, the result being very uncomfortable vehicle driving on my behalf.
I know that Cheat Engine may be used to edit FOV, but if that method is used it will not be permanent, am I right?
Thanks,
Zetren.
P.s. I would like to join in on any game sessions or map testing sessions if one is organized. If so, xfire will be the fastest way of contacting me; xfire: zetrenix.
