Unable to join a game (High Ping to blame, I think)

I'm a new player from Asia, and I've loved Halo since my childhood.
Are there no Asian servers? I keep trying to join a game in from the browse option but my ping hardly goes below 250 in the game. (Its 78 outside of the game).
Is there any way I can fix this? Many of my friends also love Halo and never had the chance to play the multiplayer in the olden days, and would love to play now. Anyway I can have a private server to play with them if there is no fix?

Appreciate a lot the Cartographer team has done!

Exacto. Me sale el Mensaje "You can't join this party. Please, Try later.
Ya van varios días. Lo último que recuerdo fue actualizar el Halo 2 Cartographer a la versión 0.5.6.1 jaja
